A little about me.
I've got a lot of titles...mother, wife, sister, daughter, CEO, doctoral student, graphic designer, freelancer, boss, friend, and the list goes on...
The only one that stands alone, however, is Christ Follower. I am not a theologian, and I don't claim to know the bible from a rigorous, academic perspective, I just want to be the best me for Him.
My walk has transformed from a side gig to a priority. I invite you to follow along with me, connect with me, share with me, pray with me. I just feel led to share my thoughts on the Word. My focus is sharing my thoughts on scripture that challenges me, makes me think, provides direction and structure in my life.
For the last 15 years, I have provided freelance and consulting services for small business owners; while building a career in staffing and recruiting. I love being creative, sharing my thoughts and as scary as it is, becoming a better version of me. I've got an awesome husband of 10 years, and three kids. We live and journey together in Richmond, TX.
I graduated from the University of Houston in 2005 (Go Coogs!) with a BA in Communications and from Southern New Hampshire University with a MS in Marketing & Social Media and is currently pursuing a PhD in General Psychology with an Emphasis in Integrating Technology, Learning and Psychology.
Balance is key.
My devotion to my work can drive me to become unbalanced. I learned a while back to prioritize what's important. And although I know my work is important, I know that my faith, family and health are just as important, and they deserve just as much time and attention as my work. Prioritizing my mental, spiritual, and physical health have been my key to successfully managing my whole self.
